Balcanica Posnaniensia. Acta et studia (BP) is a yearbook published by the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznañ (Faculty of History). It aims to exchange and popularize knowledge of the past and contemporary issues of states and nations in South-Eastern Europe. Between 1984 and 2009, it was first published as a serial (thematic issues), and from 2009 turned into a yearbook (thematic and mixed). The journal deals with the Balkan area using an interdisciplinary approach. The journal is open to scientific dialogue and polemics. All articles and scientific essays are peer-reviewed. The content is published primarily in Polish and English, but appears in French, German, Russian or the Slavic languages of the Balkan Peninsula as well. Moreover, the journal contains reviews, biographies of great scholars concerned with the Balkan matters as well as documentation of various scientific events related to the Balkans, organised both in Poland and across the world. The journal is created by an international team of experts (the Editorial Board), international group of authors and international reviewers.
